Did you know you that your Electric Car still uses an ordinary 12 Volt car battery?
In addition to the high-capacity battery to power your car, your electric vehicle (EV) still has an ordinary 12V car battery installed. Your car needs this battery to power up the dashboard and internal systems. Also, the Battery Management System (BMS) of your electric vehicle (EV) is always on standby to monitor the health of the main battery and detect whether a charger is connected. The BMS draws its power from the small car battery, so the high-capacity battery is a complete secondary powersystem.
This standby/monitoring mode, however, draws a small amount of current from the 12V car battery.
Why is this important?
In everyday use, this isn’t an issue, as the 12V battery gets charged when the main battery is charged. But when the car is not in use for extended periods, like during your holiday, the 12V battery will drain over time.
Did you know: To start-up your EV, you need the 12V battery!
Even if your high-capacity battery is fully charged, your EV won’t start if the 12V battery is dead! Your car needs this battery to power up the dashboard and internal systems.
Solution: Battery Tender
Our battery tender ensures your 12V battery stays in optimal condition during longer periods of inactivity. It prevents battery drain and premature failure, so your car is always ready to go.

Free Installation
We will install the connector to your battery free of charge. When you plan to go on holiday or won’t be using your car for a while, simply connect the battery tender to a 110V or 240V outlet (select the 12V setting, which the charger will remember) and then connect it to the battery connector.
